This is a very exciting day for me!! For the first time since I had surgery in June 2009 I have finally hit my Dr's goal! He had my goal at 145. I was close several times but would keep bouncing back up. I finally beat it with 144 this morning! I was beginning to think I would never get there! I am so happy to finally have that behind me!! Now on to my personal goal which is 138.

Another one down and 3 to go in 26 days. I really have been having to make the choice not to eat the "good stuff" and stick with the "healthy stuff". I have been doing a lot of self talking. "You don't want that" "You dont need that" "it's not worth it" "only 3 lbs to go!" It helps, but really what I put into my mouth is a choice and I fight that choice each time.

It's been a few days. I had some downs and ups and downs again.. Let me back track a little to explain. I ran out of my iron pills months ago, I know I know very bad, I was going through all my back stuff and the pain pill addiction and it just wasn't my priority. Well since I am far better now when I ran out of my calcium I ordered some iron at the same time. So I have been back on my iron for about a week now and I am blocked up bad! I am taking probiotics, miralax and it's not helping. The scale showed an increase which frustrated me and I ate a box of cheese its over a course of 3 days, had a couple days I was a bottomless pit of hunger and ate a Mr's Goodbar over a 2 day time. I started doing better and the scale is down again, but I am in pain from what I think is gas or the blockage on the right side of my stomach just under my ribs. I have increased my water intake, not sure what else I can do. But I am not letting it get me down again. I know it's the blockage effecting the scale and eating to many carbs certainly isn't gonna unblock it! I keep envisioning all those chewed up cheese its just sitting in my lower intestines with no where to go like clogging a drain pipe.. Yuck.. This image is helping me get through it though.
Hopefully it will work itself out this weekend. Excuse the pun..

I'M HUNGRY!!!
Gosh I can not get over this hunger today. It's not head hunger my gut is screaming feed me!!
Breakfast: Carbmaster yogurt
Snack: Half of a cold steak
Lunch: Deviled egg sandwich (all but 1 bite)
I just cant get over how hungry I am right now! Nothing is sticking and I am not drinking with the food. I am waiting my 30 minutes, but before that's even up I am hungry again. The girl I work with went out and bought Cheese it's and I am trying very hard not to eat any. But I know they will stick!
Gonna try a SF choc pudding. Thats thick and may stick.

I haven't done that great today with my eating. I haven't eaten anything bad just over ate dinner.
Breakfast: (which I didn't eat till 2 pm) EASProtein Shake
Snack or late lunch: CarbMaster Yogurt
Dinner: BBQed Steak (ate the whole thing and am suffering)
I have not had enough water yet today. I usually have had all my water by dinner time, but today I am only on my second of 4 bottles so far.
Guess i better stop typing and start drinking.
Oh on the job interview. They offered me a job, it wasn't the position I was applying for it was the position I left. They thought they could use me to clean up their mess in the department they let go to hell. So as I told them I was not stepping backwards in my career I am only moving forward and turned down the position. The manger actually got spiteful and angry. Guess I don't want to work for someone like that anyway. I will continue the search after our vacation in March. I have a job so it wasnt like I had to take the first one offered.

Today has been a good day! I woke up and my scale had finally dropped out of the bloody 150's and into the fabulous 140's! I was at 149 so I know I have to be extra good so I dont creep back to 150! I am 4 lbs from my goal I had 47 days to do it and it's only been 10! I might just get those extra pounds off after all. 145 is my dr's goal weight for me, but when I started this journey I thought it was 138 so my mind was always forcused on that number. I may still shoot for it depending on how I look and feel. I dont want to look sickly and everyone says they think I will.
I had a job interview today that went very well. It is for the company I left 2 years ago to come to my job now. I left on great terms so they are very "excited" to have me applying again.
They didnt recognize me. I didnt have my surgery until I left there. It was funny I road up in the elevator with one of my closet old co-workers and I could see in his face he knew I was someone he should know, but couldnt place it. So after my interview the manager took me to his desk and told him he wanted to introduce me to someone. he stood up shook my hand and said Hi I am (and said his name which I am omitting) and I said Hi I am Sher (stated last name) and he said I knew a (stated my last name) once and then you could see it all click in his head that I was that person. He was just in amazement. The manager told him he had to do a double take he didnt think I was me either. He saw a woman sitting waiting and still looked around for me then realized it was me. I stopped by my old supv desk and he emailed me later and said I look great he is jealous! It made me feel very good about myself.
It's things like this that are helping me sit here and blog instead of eating. I am feeling hungry.
So my daily accountability so far:
Breakfast: Carbmaster yogurt
Lunch: Chicken salad sandwich on a sandwich thin and then some extra just chicken salad on the side
Snack: I did have about a cup and a half of cooked popcorn but not the whole bag which I have been known to eat (yes even after surgery) i threw the rest away so i wouldnt eat anymore
Snack: EAS Protein Drink
I dont blog that I drink water but I do get in all of my water daily. More then I need to drink usually. And it has crystal light in it.
I have been refraining from drinking 30 minutes after I eat. Which I got very bad at.
Overall I am feeling good today!

Ok time for my daily accountability....
Breakfast: Half an EAS protein drink (still drinking it)
Lunch: Half a deviled egg sandwiich made with Mayo and Onions on a Honey Wheat Sandwich Thin
Snack: The other half of my sandwhich
Dinner will be Meatball subs with marinara. I dont think I will have the sub roll. My plan is to not have the sub roll, but we'll see.
I bought 10 carbmaster yogurt and 4 individual packs of carrots this morning. I realized if I only ate 2 yogurts a day and snacked on carrots it would only cost me 6 bucks a week for breakfast and lunch!
I had another WOW moment today. I went to Ross at lunch to look for some new tops. Since I had a reduction of the girls all my tops just bag on me. Well the first wow was for kicks I tried on a button up shirt (which I could never wear before because the buttons always pulled) in a juniors medium size and it fit PERFECT! I was shocked! Second wow was they had a tank top sweater I grabed in a Misses SMALL and it fit!! A SMALL! WOW! I am liking this being back on track all of a sudden I get wow moments I havent had in a year. They are VERY motivating to keep going!

Yippy the scales moving! Very motivating to get on the scale today and see I dropped 2 lbs. It's just what I needed to keep going and getting back on track! 5 more lbs to my goal weight, but like I said if I lost 15 I'd be ok with that too. I would really like to at least be able to get on the scale in the afternoon fully dressed and not be over my goal weight. Since that's how I always have to weigh at the Drs office :)
I am hungry, but I am eating more protein, if I snack it's on something like carrots or chugging more water. I have tried hard to cut down the carbs. Although I am not perfect I had a couple handfuls of popcorn last night and a few animal crackers. Keeping my mind busy by catching up on episodes of BTV has helped to. So big shout out to the gang at BariatricTV.com.
Breakfast: EAS protein shake Strawberry which I have concluded tastes just like liquid capt. crunch.

My Dr told me a year or so ago that my BMI was in the "Normal Range" he felt the charts that still said I was "Overweight" were high, but still in my mind I was overweight because the charts said I was. BUT today I calculated my BMI and I never thought I'd see the day! WOW! I haven't had a wow moment in a very long time! It feels sooooooo good!

Being a woman sucks sometimes. I did very well with my eating so far this week (with the exception of the animal crackers) and was excited to get on the scale today to see if it moved down, but since I got my monthly visitor it was actually up a pound. Now I know I probably did go down, but with extra fluid and bloating (which is usually a pound or 2) it looks like I gained, but seeing the extra pound is so demotivating to keep on track. My lowest has been 152 and I have spent the last year bouncing between 152-164 due to my not following the rules and now that I am I just want to see progress. I long for the days of dropping a pound a day. It will be very motivating to break 150 finally! I can't wait.. This is what I am working for. I hope I can keep my motivation though the cravings from my cycle and boredom or things being slow at work. I have been catching up on several episodes of BTV that I have neglected to watch. I guess I felt guilty since I wasn't doing what I should be. It seems to be helping keep me focused on what I need to do!

That dang carb monster tracted me down.. Between Monday and Wednesday I managed to (over time) eat half a bag of animal crackers! It was snacking while at work. I hate my job there is to much down time that allows for snacking. This morning I bought carrots to snack on if I needed one. So I am doing much better today.

Lunch: Carbmaster Yogurt, Carrots dipped in Peatnut butter
Dinner:.... yet to happen. Maybe another protein shake I am not really hungry right now.
