"After receiving my phone call about my surgery date I had to go in and see a doctor to discuss the procedure and concerns. This is when I first met Dr. Jenkins, he was very polite told me what to expect and listen while I asked him questions, and boy did I have many. After I was finish with my questions he went into details what the outcome could be, he wanted me to know everything that could happen. I was really curious about how much pain I would be in after surgery, I have a very low tolerance for pain and I informed him of this. He told me I would have pain, I knew I would just wanted to know how much. He was caring and very concern about how I felt and told me over and over again that I could change my mind at anytime. Once leaving from talking with him I felt great about him, but still was a little worried about the outcome.
I got to see him again before the surgery, Dr. Jenkins made me feel as if I was his only concern. He let me know he would make all major decisions and not just any one from his staff. I felt as if I had been knowing him for such a long time and we were really good friends. This is a doctor who really cares about his patients and would not risk taking chances unless necessary. Even though he was up front about the risk or the surgery, he was very thorough. His knowledge of the surgery and his bedside manner was wonderful. He emphasize the importance of taking care of yourself after the surgery and I really appreciated everything he said to make me comfortable. After the surgery I felt wonderful, I felt no pain, I know this is hard to believe but I really didn't my epidural stayed in the entire time I was in the hospital and wasn't removed until I got ready to go home. Once I left the hospital the only thing I really felt was like a soreness, you know when you start working out for the first time and the next day you are sore, that's what it felt like. Dr. Jenkins came in to see me he asked with a smile are you disappointed because he knew I expected the worst pain ever. Dr. Jenkins with the help of GOD made me a new person, and I am sooooo grateful. His staff was also wonderful and very helpful. Unfortunately, for my check ups I haven't seen Dr. Jenkins anymore, but I know on one of these post-op check up I will run into him, and when I do I will let him know how happy I am for everything he has done. Dr. Jenkins is the best! There is nothing negative I can say about this wonderful person. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING DR. JENKINS!"
