Hi Twanda, I'm having my open rny next Tues. at 8:30 a.m. We'll both be getting our wake up at about the same time. Mine will be in Tulsa, OK though My prayers are for your doctors and all involved in your surgery to be guided by the hand of God. May He grant you a fast and uncomplicated surgery and recovery. I have to say from my point of view that I would go with the 22nd. I think that though this person is well meaning, could they have another motive for telling you this? I mean this day may not be good, then what about the next one, and the next. This person is not you. Only you can make the decision to have surgery. And there are many people in the OR and in recovery and on your floor to take good care of you. I hope that this helps!

Hey Tawnda...I had my surgery on 09-06-2002 and have had absolutely no complications!! My best advice to you is do all the walking you can your body will heal a lot faster. this DR is WONDERFUL so you will do great. Good luck and best wishes!! My name is on the "list" if you need anything
