Hi all, I first looked into Bypass Surgery 4 years ago. I researched it, and was completely obsessed with it. I couldn't believe
there was finally something out there that could really help people lose weight and keep it off. About two years ago I had finally gotten an insurance that covered the surgery. There was a lot of preop necessities, such as....Psych eval., Sleep apnea test, xrays, ekg, blood work and I can't remember what else I had done. I had an insurance that makes it's changes mid year, instead of at the beginning of the year, and by the time I got done with all the necessities the insurance demanded the insurance had put a clause in that they would only cover a lifetime max of $5,000. OMG! I did some more research and filed a complaint against the insurance about this, but needless to say, all for nothing.

I met Dr. Patel, and my hopes came to life. He gave me hope and kept in touch with me over time. We moved out of state for a bit, when we came back my husband got a different job. Thats when this all came back to life. The first person I contacted to do my surgery was Dr. Patel. He was the only doctor I've ever known, that kept in touch with you personally. This insurance covered it flawlessly and I could not be happier!

I am now a  6 day post op patient, and can not believe it! I actually made it. I stayed in there and kept up hope and believed that it could actually happen. The pics are both preop, and when I have been a couple more weeks post op I will post more.
