Finally had surgery on Decemeber 21st, 2010. Dr done the Ds and also hernia repairs. Came home on Christmas day to the wonderful smell of Christmas dinner that I couldn't eat. My dinner consisted of runny mashed potatoes with brown gravy, yum! Things are progressing well this week except for this terrible rash on my incision site and back around epidural site, caused from the tape. Which I have never been allergic to before, dr sent home cleaning solution, hydrocort cream, need it for 2 days and kept getting worse, dr prescriped nystain cream to treat as bacterial, 1.5 days of use no help. Dr office I go it is an allergic reaction to the adhesive of the tape they used, received steriod shot in arm and home I go with 2 more medicines. If not any change by the next day I will need to go to hospital for Iv fluids. Well as of this morning its not working so I will be checking in with Dr Office. If I didn't have any bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all! UGH!

I have just signed up for this forum. I am looking forward to have my ds surgery in January 2010. I am not familiar with blog. I received this forum site from a friend and have been reading several posts from others. I am a little nervous and have been reading information concerning this type of surgery.
