I didn't get approved. I can't tell you why because they (insurnace company) doesnt know how to use a fax machine. I have called and called and they still have not faxed anything to me telling me why.
I'm going to try again today, but I am not holding my breath.

I contacted healthcare strategies, it was reviewed by their medical director,and they were not able to release that information, so they referred me to benefits. Claire at benefits is calling Karen directly and then going to call me back.

got a call back from Claire. It was still in review and needed a nurse to sign off on it, but the intital word was it wouldnt be approved because they like me to take a month to try and lose weight on my own. I told her I didn't have a month because insurance changed Jan. 1. So I feel like I am back to square one. and dissapointed. Claire said that we could take it from the sign off and see what we could do. At this point I am a little foggy and not thinking all that much..maybe later..

On Monday, I go and see Dr. Minirth for my psych. clearance letter. I hope that he is able to give me the go ahead. That is all I have left to send to the insurance before they will approve my surgery. I need to get this done ASAP because our insurance will change Jan. 1 and the new insurance wont approve any obesity realated health anything. So this is a now or never kind of time for me. I have been on top of these people calling and bugging them like crazy. I guess that is what is needed to stay on top of your own health concerns. I will let ya know how things go from there!
