Had my first appointment with my surgeon. My blood pressure and heart rate were too high. He wants me to see a cardiologist before he'll give me a surgery date so I did that. Had the stress test, now I'm waiting to see the cardiologist the day after tomorrow. Hopefully he will prescribe meds that will make it safe for my heart to handle this surgery and then I'll get my date!! After waiting so long I'm like in shock, this all feels like I'm walking through a movie, pinch me, is this real!
Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit, I got a SURGERY DATE! I will be banded on March 22,2007, almost 3 years since I started this journey.
Well it seems Dr Obeid is having a health crisis and it is not known when or if he will be able to perform surgery. He loves his job, he loves doing surgery. I pray that he will have a complete recovery. I have rescheduled my surgery for May 1st with Dr Farhan who I am told is an excellent surgeon. April 19th it will be 3 years since I started trying to get this surgery!
