The nausea has subsided a great deal ,it surfaces maybe once or twice a week -instead of daily. I am able to increase my walking everyday, got a pedometer and next month am joining a gym after my free 2 week pass expires.Tonight I attended my first WLS support group,I wish I had gone sooner. Such great people, success stories, tips and a feeling of belonging!I plan on making more meetings and hoping to do the walk from obesity !!!

week 2
Jun 04, 2008
Here I am at my 2 week mark.I have lost 21 pounds as of today. I started out the week following surgery with alot of nausea, and had my bouts of intolerances with some of the soups, eggs and crystal light of all things- but it is all worth it.
I am learning everyday how to adjust to the new me and what I can tolerate. I am glad to be out of work during this healing/learning/adjusting period of this whole thing.I have not had to take any of the pain meds they sent me home with and now I am 5 days free of the Anti- Nausea pills. I have more energy everyday, and find I can walk a little bit more distance everyday. The fatigue and nausea held me back the first week and a half from really walking or exercising as much as I should. Now I look forward to making up for lost time. I also look forward now to standing on that scale- something I NEVER imagined would give me pleasure!!
