My Name is Eva. I am 56 years old and obese. I discovered this site when I started seriously searching information on WLS back in Nov. of 07. I finally made the call to have the surgery done.
I began my journey back in April of this year when I went to the seminar on Bariatric Surgery. It was very informing and most of all, I felt at ease with wanting to have it done.
After having all my tests done; seeing a psychologist, dietician, lab work, ekg, upper gi, echo cardiogram & stress test, "Lord let's not forget that stress test", I recieved my surgery date.
I will be having surgery on July 14th at St. Alexius Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Van Wagner is my surgeon.
I began my clear liquid diet on July 7th, so, if you find mis-spelled words it's because I'm loopy from lack of food. LOL!
Not really, it hasn't been so bad so far, but then again this is only the 3rd day. I figure if I've made it this far, I can make it the rest of the way. In fact, I know I can because "God is my strength & salvation." He will bring me through it all.
I've been having problems with uploading pics. but I'll get them in as soon as I can figure out what I'm doing wrong.
