If you all didnt already know Kanye West is my favorite musician of all time. With the recent death of his mother after she chose to have optional surgery, its been making me think twice. I mean yes I want to have WLS but at the same time, Ive heard plenty horror stories. I cant figure out how to comfort myself or convince myself that everything will be okay. Ive started working on trying to kick the cigarette habit. I read somewhere that doctors dont want the patient to be a smoker. I wonder why???
I mean its obvious smoking isnt good for you especially if you are over weight, but what could happen to you during the surgery?

Today I did a search on the Internet and found a Hopital in the area that offers WLS. I contacted them and I should be receiving a packet in the mail. The lady told me Im to fill out the information and bring it in with me for my first consultation. Im so excited
I cant wait. I was also told that it only takes about 5 months from intial contact until I get a surgery date. Thats fine by me considering when I was living in Chicago, there was a waiting list and the wait was 2 years
. Glad I moved!!!
