It's official.... 100# lost!! WooHoo!!
Jul 12, 2009
I never would have been able to accomplish this on my own. I owe a lot to Bariatric Surgery, to my family and friends as well.
Thats one milestone down and many more to go. To all you that have just begun your journies, good luck, its rough at first but it does get better. It seems like things will never get better but they will. Keep the faith!
Love to all!

Goodbye!!
May 04, 2009
I've finally had it... the opportunity to say goodbye forever!
GOODBYE 300's FOREVER!! I've finally left the 300 something gang and HELLO 200 something!!
I've reached my first goal to weigh under 300 and I accomplished this on Saturday May 2nd. I guess I thought I'd have balloons, streamers and whistles as I stood on the scale and saw the first 200 # mark, but instead it was all alone as my husband and son had already left for our weekly Saturday morning jaunt to the Y for Jon's soccer game. I had a church thing to go to, it was quiet and reverent. I was by myself and enjoyed every second of it. I jumped up and down a little and my stomach did flipflops! I was VERY excited and ready to set my next goal. I'm setting short term attainable goals. I can't quit this anyway! I LOVE THIS!!
Any other "diet" I had ever been on, I would have given up during the 2 week plateau I get, but I can't with this! Wherever this ride takes me and however much I lose on this trip I have one thing to say at this point...
GOODBYE 85# GOODBYE... FOREVER!!!
Back to work... ugh!!

Been walking more than a mile a day. Taking my son with me too as much as I can since he needs the exercise just as much. Wish I could get my husband on the treadmill with out guilting him into it. Or walking with us outside more. He just doesn't get it. Neither does my son but I make him walk with me since he can't stay home by himself!! Ha ha!
(That was an evil laugh by the way)Well, I hope everyone had a great Easter!
Happy again!

Ok, just get all the protein I can in a day. Drink as much as you can and stop being ANAL!
5 week post-op
Mar 22, 2009
I am sooo frustrated!! Only lost one lb in almost 3 weeks! What am I doing wrong? I have started going on to the Exercise On Demand on TimeWarner TV to do the Family Walk Fit program. Along with my 1 mile a day walking. I figured, it's not jumping around type exercise so it shouldn't hurt me. It's walking with a few more moves which I take it easy. THAT's how I've lost the lb since I started it yesterday! Is it because I'm not walking the 2 miles in one setting? I do a mile 2x's a couple days a week and then every day I do at least 1 mile each day. I'm trying to get 60-80 grams of protein in. I almost get there each day. It's the fiber I don't get. I'm having trouble with the BM's as well. UGH!!!!! I drink coffee just to go! Calories, hardly have 800 a day and at my weight I think I should be around 1000 a day at least!
I have a Nut appt tomorrow which I am hoping will help me. And Tuesday night I have a support meeting to go to. I am hoping I will find what I am or am not doing to get over this plateau.
Any comments? Please post them for me. And I know that I should just take it easy and not worry abt it. I am not that kind of person I am finding. I used to have patience!!! I lost that along with the ability to EAT!!!
Thanks for listening!
Still working on it
Mar 14, 2009
Well, I'm working on things. I realized that I needed more protein after going over the stuff from the Dr. I just wasn't getting enough in each day. I keep forgetting that I just am not going to be able to do what I did prior to surgery. I am struggling. And I realize it is my fault.
I'm having an egg for breakfast.
Snack with protein in it midmorning.
I'm having protein for lunch (chicken with miracle whip or tilapia)
Milk, yogurt or something for snack midafternoon.
Chicken, fish or something for dinner.
Then a snack with protein in it at night. In between I am drinking as much SF drink I can.
If anyone can give me any pointers it would be wonderful!
I'm walking at least one mile a day and a few days a week I am walking 2 miles.
Plateau? Already?
