Update
Apr 01, 2009
Tried solid food for the first time yesterday (re-fried beans), I did really well. Today, however, was a different subject I tried scrambled eggs this morning and have not felt great all day. No throwing up, but just icky, icky tummy. I hope tomorrow's choice is better and works.
Well, I will keep you in the loop. Thanks to all for the support while I was away.

Pre-op appointment 3-19-09
Mar 20, 2009
My pre-op went very well, I have lost 13 pounds which I think surprised Dr. Suh, just a little. Anyway, I am spending the next two days packing and getting ready. There was a time I thought this wait would take forever, and here it is I am wondering if I can finish everything I need to do into these next days. I think I have made a hundred shopping and to do list, and I am still feeling I am going to forget things. I am super excited and just can't wait.

Waiting..... March 3, 2009
Mar 03, 2009
My jouney began well before January 6, 2009, but that is where my life started to change. My consultation with Dr. Suh went well. I weighed in at 305, wow, I am embarrased and in total disbelief that I am this big. After my visit I continued my jouney by making all my appointments to get clearence to have the RNY sugery. I had my blood work, ultrasound, chest x-ray done first. Then followed by the EKG, Eco, Stress test and Angio Gram. Finally I had the final appointments with the Dietician and Phycologist, as well as the support group and seminar. On March 2nd, the Doctors office faxed my 'doctor approved' file to the insurance agency and here I sit waiting for someone to tell me my new life will be allowed to continue. How these days are long and agonizing. But my future is starting to look brighter every day.
I have chosen March 16, 2009 as the date of my surgery. I am hoping that everything falls into place and I get the approval and the date I am hoping for. I will continue to blog my journey, so please keep posted.
New to all
Feb 07, 2009
I am new to this site, and new to this whole thing. I have done most of my testing, I only have 2 more appointments to go. I am nervous and excited, worried and anxious.
I would love some input from all.
Glad to be here and look forward to chatting.
