Disappointed in myself

Sep 09, 2013

I had the surgery over 10 years ago 6/4/2003, I weighted almost 500lbs and my lowest weight was 2007/2008 at 274 pounds and I was feeling terrific.

In 2009 I started having gyn medical problems which resulted in me having to have a partial hysterectomy at age 36 (I weighed 300 going into surgery) which is a lil over 4 years now. In the coarse of those 4 years after my hysterectomy I have gained another 90 POUNDS!

I called and made an app. with my surgeon to get more information on the RNY Revision. I hoping someone else can tell me more about the procedure. Is i as intense as the first RNY, is it the same recovery time, did it work?  Has anyone else experience weight gain so far out?

Thanks for your time

Before and Recently After my Surgery Thoughts

Nov 13, 2007

Hello, my name is Stephanie and Im scheduled for Gastric Bypass surgery in just a few more days, June 4, 2003.  I want to feel what life is supose to feel like as a normal sized person.  I have a daughter that I feel is hindered as well by my weight because I cant do all the things other mothers can do. Im a single mother and I would love to pack up my daughter and go too an amusement park and ride the rides and walk around and play games.  But, after this surgery I promised her the best trip too Disney world she could ever imagine! Im very healthy and I cant wait til Wednesday, I know god is with me and I can feel him tugging on my spirit telling me its all gonna be alright.  I will pray for you all, and god bless.

Wow!! THats all I can say at the moment. Life is feeling realllly good right about now.  Im 135 pounds down and I feel terrific. Im able to walk the malls with my daughter and Ive been going to the gym three days a week.  Its really hard to get out now cause its Freeeeezing outside..but I still get there atleast twice a week.  I park my car far from the office now so I take a nice brisk walk in the morning which I would have never been able to before.  I was wearing size 4X and 5X, now Im wearing 3x and 2x..I feel like  a whole nother person.  Im hoping to be at my goal weight before the end of the year(shooting for Sept)!  Hope everyone else is doing well.  God Bless U until I write again

1 year and 5 month Post Op

I KNOW I KNOW..Its been a long time since I wrote. OMG so much has changed in my life!  I went from wearing a 5x and weighing 470lbs to TODAY Size 22 Bottoms and size Large tops and I weigh 274!  I would like to lose about 50 or 65 more pounds.  I'm kinda stuck right now, but hopefully I will start to lose again.  I've been at this weight now for a few months now.  I feel terrific and I've been doing things I've never done before.  IM SO HAPPY!

4 years POST OP

Well, I've gained some weight back.  I'm now 285.  So I've gained about 14lbs.  I did get into a car accident which left me unable to exercise for 10 months, but no excuses I'm going back on board to loose the extra weight plus some.  My goal is still to be under 250lbs.
I've met a really nice guy and we have decided to do it together.  I'm really excited because there is nothing like someone who cares about you watchng you and you watching them to make sure we don't over indulge to much.  The holidays are coming and this is my worst time of year as far as eating junk.  Sweets are my weakness, but I hope to keep track of my weight and hopefully by my birthday be down 40lbs or more.
