I haven't been very successful in my weightloss journey overall because of M-E.  I got down to 250 lbs @ lowest since the surgery. I stopped eating regular meals & didn't exercise at all.   I was placed on steroids for about 14 months since 2010 and finally just came off of them in January(2012) due to Psoriasis Flare ups.  Still having issues in respect to my skin,  but I need to get back on track to L-O-S-I-N-G Weight!!!  I have been suffering from Depression and Stress since losing my job due to Departmental Downsizing and have as yet not found new employment.  TODAY,  I am taking back responsibility for my condition...my weight...my life.  I am going to get back on track with eating the proper foods (mainly veggies & fruit) and  daily exercising.  I know if I change the things that I can control, everything else will take care of itself.  Pray for Me to Stay Strong in My Commitment...I will keep Posting Progress...Wish Success To Everyone!!

Today is Thursday, October 9-I went to see my PCP for the 1st time since just before my surgery. I couldn't stop smiling & neither could he when he saw how much better I was feeling & moving. I weighed in at 326 lbs( big difference from beginning point)- BMI 52.6. The results speak for themselves- I am So Happy to have gone thru this GB Procedure. It has taken 4 yrs from the time I first became interested & started the process of trying to obtain this operation. I have been on a Rollercoaster of weight loss & gain at Breakneck Speeds. When I researched WLS initially, I was approx. 270-280 lbs. I went thru all the prerequisites for the Surgery & was Denied for the Surgery because my Ins at the time wanted co-morbidities other than Sleep Apnea. I got depressed & never appealed/followed up when I rec'ved that letter. I just commenced to eat myself into a Coma. I withdrew from Family & Friends, stopped leaving my house except to go to Work & Back or to the Fast Food Drivethru or to the Food Market, systematically isolating myself from everyone & everything. One day I woke up & realized I couldn't get up/walk up a flight of stairs without fighting for breath like I was dying; felt chronic aches & pains in my feet & legs & hips & back; saw swelling in my ankles & legs which were only relieved with water pills. It occurred to me that I wouldn't be on this earth much longer if I didn't do something about it, so I made up my mind that I wanted to LIVE. I left my job and went to a Medical Insurance Company for employment figuring that the Insurance would be better for my needs( I was correct!).
