had my sleep study. very sleepless night for me. It took the better part of the night ot get into a deep enough sleep to be monitored, however I finally did. I do not have sleep apnea yeah!! Never did get the cold either. Just counting down the days till surgery.

Saw my surgeon for another consultation yesterday. Everything is still a go so far. Will do my sleep study this sunday yuck. Fighting a little cold, so am a bit concerned, since my sleep study can't be performerd if im sick. Will hope for the best.

so much has been going on! My surgery has been scheduled for January 5th, so my sleep study has to be done at a different hospital, to be able to get it done sooner. This will be done on dec 19th now. Starting to get really scared, but also looking forward to getting it over with. I see my surgeon on the 15th of dec. I had an appt. to get braces on the 3rd of january however i felt that with the surgery two days from that , that it my be too much. Rescheduled with the orthodontist for mid feb.

It's been a while since i updated. Today i got a letter from my ins. co. and it said that my appeal has been approved. !! Medical mutual found it to be medically necessary! woohoo. I broke down and sobbed right there in the dining room. my husband just stood there grinning. Hopefully it won't take long to get a surgery date. very anxious now. i have a sleep study scheduled for jan. 13, so i imagine it will be after that. What a thanksgiving present.

Still waiting on appeal to make it to ins. co. Surgeons office is taking their time. very frustrating. My Dr. called yesterday with my HBA1C and it's 9.4!! normal should be under 7. With my diabetes not under good control, i wish i could get this surgery going, before i do any more damage to my body!!
