Done with Plastics!
Apr 27, 2009
I had my Lower Body Lift on March 23, and everything went smoothly. The first week post-op was a little difficult, but it has gotten better and better since. I took 3 weeks off of work, which was the right amount of time for me. I would say I started feeling like myself again as of last week - I've gotten back to my daily walking routine - and my energy level is back to normal. The results are amazing - I can't believe it's my body! My stomach is flat, my butt is non-existent, and my hips are slender!!! My boobs are cute and perky! Dr. Kaufman is amazing - and SO nice - I HIGHLY recommend him!!! I'm so glad I had this done - I don't feel fat anymore!!! I'm hoping to get back to my weight lifting classes in another couple of weeks. And I can't wait to go swim suit shopping!!

Surprise!
Mar 10, 2009
Well, I had a last minute "surprise" surgery on February 13! My plastic surgeon had an opening, and I had my breast reduction/lift (and yes, I chose to do this on Friday the 13th!). Originally I was planning on having this in the summer, after my lower body lift, but given the opportunity, I grabbed it (the insurance had already approved the surgery). The surgery went perfectly, and I'm SO happy with the results! The "girls" are darling - cute, perky, and hey, they're even the same size! The pain was really pretty non-existent, and the recovery has been great. I'm almost a month out, and feel great. I took a week off of work, and that was just right. I'm now back to my pre-surgery walking schedule, although I haven't gotten back to my weight lifting classes yet. I'm still going in for the lower body lift on March 23, and I can't wait!! I'm planning on taking 3 weeks off of work for that one, since I know the recovery will be more extensive for that surgery. All in all, I'm SO glad I'm able to have the plastic surgery - it just feels like I'm finishing what I started!

Changes...
Jan 28, 2009
My how life changes! Since I wrote this, I had weight loss surgery (on April 4, 2007). I had absolutely no complications, and recovery was a breeze. I've lost over 150 lbs. since then, and feel better than I have in decades! I now am able to be active, and my lifestyle has changed drastically! I work out every morning - either walking 3 miles, or doing a 1 hour weight training workout at the gym. I also got a bike, and started riding for the first time in almost 30 years (and I love it!). I'm able to keep up with my incredibly fit husband and kids - something I couldn't dream of before. I do have a lot of excess skin, and I have the first of 2 plastic surgeries scheduled for March 23, 2009 with Dr. Kaufman in Folsom, CA. I'll be having a LBL (lower body lift), and hope to have a breast reduction/lift in the summer. I'm not looking forward to the recovery period, but I'm looking forward to the results!
