APPROVED APPROVED APPROVED!!!!!!! I have finally been approved...surgery is going to be June 28th!

Talked to surgeons office today...they have told insurance that this is now urgent and that i am having surgery in 2 weeks and they need an approval or at least an answer one way or another. So i have a VERY tenative date of 6/25 for surgery. I want this soooo bad...everybody keep your fingers crossed and say a little prayer and hope this finally happens.

Well I talked to insurance yesterday and my status is still pending. I talked to the rep about the experience I have had so far with their company and how upset I was that I had been told I was approved..only to make all the arrangements for the big day and find out an hour later I had been misinformed.

Lori, a supervisor, called me back at 1640 and I explained the whole thing to her an she assured me that she would pull the recordings and follow up with the reps. She said she was not taking it lightly. 

Soooo...the wait contiues and I will continue to call everyday to see what the status is.

Just talked to insurance and I have been APPROVED! I have a date of May 21st and the surgeon's office is checking with the hospital to see if I can get in sooner.

I am very excited and nervous all at the same time. I have been waiting to hear the word APPROVED for 6 months and today it finally came. What a relief!

ALRIGHTY then..as I am typing this I just got a call from the surgeons office and they are saying that I have NOT been approved yet...talk about having the rug yanked from under you....I am not real happy with AETNA right now.
