Gee...where do I start. I've been a little heavy my whole life. I was only a little overweight in high school and into college, but my weight spiraled out of control about 14 years ago when I got sick. The "official" word was that I had Fibromyalgia, but I've never completely bought that because I always knew that there had to be another reason for all the pain I was in. With all of the medications I was on and the main side effect on all of them being weight gain I'll give you one guess what happened...my weight got out of control. We fast-forward to today. I now have an explanation for the pain...turns out that it's suspected that I have Guillain-Barre Syndrome...which means that I really need to get the weight off so I'm not putting so much pressure on my spine. Getting the weight off will help that, but it will help my overall health as well...which is what we're all after right? :)
