Well things just couldn't be better I've just had blood work done and my A1C that was 12.6 is now down to a 6.9 HDL is 43 LDL is 75 my energy level is through the roof Diabetes under control without med's or insulin life is great and im now the proud member of the century club.40 more pounds to go it will only get even better

Well the weight just keeps dropping but better still are my Glucose morning fasting blood sugar was 121 without any diabetes meds at all. The weight loss is a bonus but a great bonus at that, No problems getting my protein in for the day 1St blood work came back that my vitamin D was a little low so they put me on a supplement and that works for me Its all been great so far with no issues

Well things couldn't be better I'm down 51 lbs feeling great and blood sugars are steadly dropping down to 142 without insulin or diabetes pills. Biggest problem if you can call it that is that my eyes are bigger than my pouch (lol) no matter how small i put the portion on my plate i can't finish it. I don't have any problem eating and keeping down chicken,eggs,steak or any veggie so far and working to the 3 mile daily walk my surgeon wants me to work up to. That's all for now be back with in two weeks

Well I'm truly blessed all is going smooth the weight is dropping I'm down 38 lbs.and my glucose levels are down to 168 without any insulin or Glimepiride meds. I go to my endocrinologist on this Wednesday May 15 th. and I'm sure he will order blood work and we shall see where my blood levels are. Starting to slowly to add proteins and savoring every bite energy levels are up still get a little winded but that will all change in the coming months.

Well i had an awesome 1st week with no bumps in the road and have no pain at all. I've started to have puree as of this morning and even had scrambled eggs with no problem holding it down. The only thing i need to work on is how to keep food hot while taking 1/2 hour to eat it lol. Looking forward to introducing other foods in the coming weeks, and the cherry on top was a 23 lb. weight loss the very first week

hi everyone just got home from the hospital I had a great experience the operation went perfect and on a pain scale from 1-10 i say my pain was a 2-3 was walking around the nurses station which was 100 steps and i was doing it ten laps. Got released today 4-24-2013 with little or no pain 9lb weight loss works for me as well

Hello just a quick note i went and did my pre admission tests and all tests were fine, the very last thing i do tomorrow is pick up the clearance letter from my primary care doctor tomorrow and show up at the hospital this Monday. I'm so ready to put this new beginning into action and hopefully take control of my diabetes and the weight loss is a bonus. My next post will be Post Op God Speed

Boy things happening at record speeds i went to my surgeon Dr Cussatti on the 16th of this month it was my third visit . All my tests were in and he put the paperwork into my insurance company yesterday well I got a call today my insurance United Health Care approved my Gastric Bypass and I go in this coming Monday the 22nd. Talk about breakneck speed I'm so blessed and cant wait. Waiting for call from hospital to get a time for my pre surgical testing tomorrow. I'll keep you in the loop everyone

This week was busy went to BSG meeting Monday and the second meeting Thursday with my nutritionist that was very informative and she will send a clearance letter to my Doctor and finally with my endoscopy doctor Dr. Sorbi who said the sample they took while doing the endoscopy came back fine and he gave me the clearance letter for my doctor Dr. Cussatti. That completes all things Dr. Cussatti asked me to get pre surgery my 3rd meeting with Dr. Cussatti is April 16th and at that point he will submit the papers to my insurance company and lets hope we get a fast approval and a surgery date. till soon

Well had my Endoscopy today and I have to say I stressed out over it after hearing what my brother went through, but it was so textbook the staff at Island Gastroenterology in West Islip was very friendly and professional. My Endo Dr. Sorbi was very comforting as well and i would recommend him to anyone needing this procedure (Hey I Just Did) lol. The tests came back showing Erosive Gastritis probably from the years taking pain meds pre knee replacements. He put me on some meds to help with that and meet for a follow up 3-29/2013 after biopsy and that will be the next thing checked off my list pre surgery. Went to my 3rd support group meeting and find them chock filled with info and will continue to go each week I have my 2nd meeting with Dr Cussatti my surgeon on the 19th of this month and my final meeting with my nutritionist on the 28th cant wait to get my surgery date thats it for now
