Two weeks post op...

So today marks two weeks and one day post op. I'm not going to lie. I hate recovery! I'm a big baby, what can I say? Dry mouth forever and no way to really get rid of it. On top of stomach pain from surgery, I have had back pain. I'm guessing I am tensing up a lot trying to make sure my belly doesn't go through as much pain. The first week was crap, the second week was better and my only complaint was really my back. Getting the drain out was nice! Now that I am start the third week, I feel almost back to normal. I have lost over 20lbs already. Feels great. Not sure if I have lost any more since the last doctor visit a week ago today, but I want to stay off the scale. I hear there can be stalls and I don't want to get discouraged. I have been eating tuna and veggies for my meals. It's not too bad. I can finally fit enough it that I stay satisfied. Not like the all liquids of course. Soft foods rock!

Surgery tomorrow and I am so excited and nervous. I have to call between 4 and 6 to actually get a time. Last day of chugging down protien shakes! From now on it's sips. :)

It is finally starting to get to me a little. It's not too bad yet, but I can see the frustration in it now. Four more days till surgery. I'm going to keep trucking like a good little trooper!

Thanks to me being so proactive and getting an appointment asap yesterday with my PCM, I got to keep my surgery date! I am on day one of my liquid diet. It's not so bad right now, probably because I have my eye on the prize.

Labs came back, they canceled my surgery! FML!!

So I have hyperthyroidism? Isn't that a skinny person's problem? I would think that hypo would make sense but hyper? I redid my labs. I hope it comes back normal!! PLEASE come back normal!

I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it. I'm about to lose control and I think I like it! Whoo hoo! I get my for sure date next week! Either the 3rd or the 17th. So hoping for the 3rd! PMA PMA PMA!!
