I actually tried on a skirt two sizes smaller and it fit..so exciting..now i am going to dig thru my daughters closet . and today....i wore a tee shirt and actually was able to tuck it in and wear a belt. wow, been way to long for that..felt really good. anyone know what i mean ?

Starting a new life 2010

starting the new year off with great hope and expectations. wishing i would of done this oh lets see 10 years ago. my lapband surgery on 12/30/09 is just amazing in only these few short days. the antisipation and anxiety was almost to much to handle prior. all was fine in my waiting period prior, then when the date was set and i began the blood work, it became a reality and began to second doubt, do i really want to do this, i will never be able to eat again. thank god for friends and friends that have a lap band, have a dear friend who first gave me the inspiration to do this ( after i convinced my husband i would be alright ) and her personal experiences good and bad. gave me the assurance that this was a good thing. so, i had 170lbs to lose, and i lost 40 in my waiting period, and now have lost 13lbs. i have gone down one size, and have retired one blue jean skirt, thought of placing it in my closet , just in case i needed it again like the past, and thought wow, i will never never never need this again, and that felt so wonderful.
i had a hip replacement last year and now can walk without limping or pain which is so wonderful. and now i can just imagine going anywhere and not wonder if i will fit in the seat. to not have people stare and give dirty looks or make nasty comments. my worse was " i thought the fat lady from the circus was walking thru the door ". so yes 2010 will be wonderful for sure.
I am married to a wonderful man of God for 22 years and i have two children a son who is 21 - hard to imagine- who i just adore. and a daughter who is 14 and is the focus of my life now, trying to raise and guide her . my little best friend.
we have a mini farm with dogs, cats, horses , chickens, ducks. so we are busy all the time. it is a miracle if we have clean underwear if ya know what i mean.
i work full time so my time is well not much left over. i love to swim, but need to stay away from the sun, have had some skin cancer already.plan on riding our horses when i get down some more. that will be a big excitment for me. big dream of shopping with my sisters and go into any store that i want to get clothing. we can shop till we drop....
