Hello to all, I am on my 7th week post-op and have lost 27 pounds.I fell good, but because I work for a produce company, I find myself missing salads.I also find myself not drinking enough liquids, the necessary 48-64 oz, I used to drink lots of water and diet caffeine free pepsi, but now I have to make myself drink something. If any of you have a thought or advice can you please email me. Thanks.

Hello to all,Just letting all of you know how well,I am doing.Today is June 5,2004 Looks like I have lost 20 Pounds post-op,262 today.Pre-op 282..Feels great and the food hasn't been to bad.I sort of crave things, but know that I can't handle them,so what is the point.I figure perhaps some time down the road, maybe my new stomach will allow. But I have been walking and that seems fine so far.I will check in again soon.Love to all,and God bless,

Dear Mary, Being nervous is something I understand. I was frightened beyond distraction. It is a normal part of this whole thing. You will certainly be in my prayers. Looking forward to having you join me in the LOSER'S MARATHON! This journey is definately a marathon. One that we can and will win. Today, extreme nervousness and in a few weeks -50 lbs, like me. Take care of yourself and remember you are in my prayers. Grins, Kaye

Hi Mary! I too am having surgery next week. Last day at work is the 10th, and my surgery is on the 12th. I have to admit that anxiety is setting in a bit - not so much about the surgery, but the many life changes after. But I look at my list of reasons for having surgery, and the things I look forward to doing afterwards, and I KNOW I'm doing the right thing. Try to focus on how much better your life can be after the surgery. Best wishes on your surgery next week. Good luck!
