Steve Keller's Blog

I haven't really shared much of my journey, but I feel that I should start. I have some before and after pictures (not pretty) that I will post when I can.

VERY HAPPY with my decision to get the VSG procedure with Dr. Aceves and his group in Monterrey. Even at the advanced age of 63.

Best decision that I ever made, at least in the last ten years. Wish I could have done it sooner, but better late than never.

Down to about 190 from high of 276. HBP down, pain pills down, liver function normal; feel MUCH better, look MUCH better; eat MUCH less.

Had to self pay against my doctors' advice: personal and therapist's  - and WIFE, who wouldn't speak to me for two weeks after I came home.

Got a lucky break on taxes witch covered about half of it - $4800

Couldn't be happier with my decision, choice of doctors and advice from knowledgeable people, most notably the wonderfully crazy 'Midwesterngirl' aka 'Wasabubblebutt', but many others as well.

If I can help anyone, please just ask.
