Well, I'm proud to annouce that my energy level is back, full force, and I feel fantastic!!! I'm going to the gym most day's working out with weight's as well as walking. I suppose I didn't give it enough time or expected to bounce back faster than I was able to. I'd like to say that this surgery is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I'd do it again tomorrow knowing all I went though. I've lost about 35 pounds now, haven't weighed lately though, I try not to weigh all the time so that I don't get so hung up on "how much I've lost" because as we all know, some people loose faster than other's and even if it's slow to come off, IT WILL COME OFF!!! I do know that God allowed me this opportunity to get myself in good health as well as look better after all these years and I'm not going to waste that opportunity. I'm trying to go right by the book, do everything I was told to do. I don't have current picture's yet but will next month as I'm going to a class reunion so I'll post the "new" me then. If you're out there and considering this surgery, all I can say is know all the fact's, be well informed, have your mind made up to do this and do it right and it will work for you too!!!

CONGRATULATIONS Carol on your weight loss. That is fantastic. I loss 31 lbs in my first month and you are not even one month out, WOW. We are having our WLS monthly meeting at Jackson Hospital this Saturday if you would like to attend. Its in the Goode Bldg. on the 11 floor at 10:00am we would love to have you attend.

Hey Carol! Glad to hear you are doing better! I was beginning to worry! I am so glad the surgery went well. I am scheduled for surgery Sept 9, 2002. Leisa and I are having it the same day at Jackson. Email me when you feel up to and have time.

Hi Carol...I am so glad you see that you are feeling better and well enough to begin posting again. That's definitely a good sign :o)..Hope you continue to improve steadily..and 23 lbs. already,..woohooo...that's great..

Glad to see that you are doing much better now. I am 63 years old and planning on having my surgery on November 12th. My BMI is about the same as yours, therefore I hope I can lose as well as you have. Good luch to you and my prayers are with you. Marilyn

carol had surgery on august 7....surgery went well, she is recovering nicely from that....but apparently had a reaction to medication or a combination of medications and went several days without herself or dr williams understanding what made her feel so bad....once they stopped all medications, she is feeling much much better....and now has lost 18 pounds!!! HOORAY!!!! she is getting around better and checked her email, but didn't have the strength yet to spend much time at the computer, but every day is better, she is eating little bits at a time, even did some laundry this week...she will be back on this site soon...thanks for your concern and for your patience with me while i learned to use this board....

Hello Carol, Congratulation on your WLS I am so proud of you. I had WLS in March 2002 and have lost a total of 86lbs. If you need me for anything just let me know, I live in Troy also.
