From the first day I entered my contact information on the Specialized Bariatrics website for information, to my last day in Tiajuana where Ricardo took me to San Diego to my hotel before my flight, the service I have received has been second to none. Cathy Zimmerman Patient Coordinator called me within minutes to answer any questions I had regarding Dr Lopez and his medial team and the Verticle Sleeve Gasectomy surgery that I was inquiring about. She was very pleasant to deal with and made herself available to me any time thru phone and email contact. She made sure I understood the procedure and then provided me with all the information that I required in order to make my decision. I was so warmly received by Willie at the San Diego airport the night I arrived. We drove to the beautiful Marriott hotel in Tiajuana and along the way Willie made sure I was comfortable and gave me the tour of the landmarks we passed as my journey began. Tatiana left my paperwork at the hotel as it was very late when I arrived. She and Raul full of smiles met me in the morning and we went to the hospital to begin the lab work in preparation to the surgery. I was met by Sandra who had the biggest smile on her face, at the hospital who made sure I was where I should be throughout the morning. I was shown to my room and within an hour or so was down in the OR meeting Dr Lopez and his surgical team. Dr Lopez, Dr Sanchez, Fatima, their smiles lit up the room. Nervous, not at all. I have never felt more welcome in a hospital in all my life. My surgery was performed as well as a hernia repair without any complications. When I woke up I had minimal pain the the nursing staff was right there injecting pain medication. I was up and walking around within a couple hours of my surgeries. Dr Lopez and Dr Rimerez checked on me to make sure I had no questions or issues. After two days in the hospital I was released to the Marriott Hotel for an additional two days at which time I was given a tour of the beautiful city of Tiajuana. Dr Sanchez checked up on me at the hotel and removed my drain. It was such a pleasure to meet him too with his caring and gentle ways. I met some life long friends who all were taking the same journey with Dr Lopez and although I left my stomach in Tiajuana, I also left a part of my heart with all the wonderful people I was privileged to meet. I highly recommend Dr Lopez and his team if you are considering any kind of Barriatric Surgery, you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much Dr Lopez!
