Ali, Good luck to you! I hope your surgery is boring as hell (no complications!). The next year will be the most amazing experience of your life! You will watch yourself melt away at an alarming rate of speed. Enjoy the ride. Those first few weeks are rough, but you'll make it through and then it's smooth sailing! Best of luck to you! Channan

Congratulations Ali! ! ! Your courage is such an inspiration. Dr. Abkin will be preforming my surgery on May 15th. I loved his caring mannerism, patience, and concern. His office staff was excellent in helping in any way they could. I know everything will turn out just wonderful for you, and your new beginning is just around the corner. Kathryn

Ali, Have the Greatest Ever on the 8th!! It’s good to see more guys out here on Obesity Help. We make up a small minority of the people having Weight Loss Surgery, but tend to lose down quicker and with fewer hassles than the women due to Male Physiology. I’m just dropping by to let you know that there’s a huge crowd of strangers out here pulling for you and holding you in our prayers. May you have a famously successful surgery and a record-breaking recovery! Be nice to the nurses, Enjoy the drugs when you can, and most importantly, hurry home and start walking away from those pounds and into a new Life! Best Wishes-

Congratulations on your surgery date! It's the same day as my Mothers birthday - now it will be your "re-birthday" HOW EXCITING!!! I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- May God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures. It’s great to see the new you emerge!!! Not to mention the look on YOUR face when you look at those pictures and compare them in a few months! It’ll be a BIG WOW!!! Please remember too, that this is a *tool* to use. Make sure you use it wisely. Choose the right foods and measurements wisely! Feel free to look at my profile and see my ups and downs and know I’d not change a thing with anything I’ve experienced.
