My name is Melanie and I am 33 and I have an 11 yr old son. My dad passed away from a heart attack when I was 10 and I look at my son and I don't want that to be him I want to be around to not only see him grown but to see my grand kids grown. I have been on blood pressure meds since I was 21 which is really young, I also have asthma which has got alot worse since gaining weight, and I think I have sleep apnea. I am going to a weight loss seminar on 11/06/08 as a requirement for the surgeon I have talked to my insurance and they said with my BMI and my health issues that I will have no problem getting approved. I am hoping to have surgery around the first of the year.
