hello gang,
Last year at this time I was preparing to have my surgery.  Well I have made it one year and couldn't be happier or healther.
Will post pictures when I figure out how, lol
As of today I have lost 127 lbs.  At my heavies I was 255,,,,,,,,,I am 128 today! 
Would do it all over in a New York Minute............

Hello friend,
  Its been almost 10 months since my surgery. I have passed my goal weight and never felt better in my adult life.  Starting weight 244,,,,,today,,,,132. I went from a size 22/24 to 8/10!  I am so proud of myself and still feels like a dream.   People don't know me unless I am with my husband. People I see every week at church and family I think are use to me now but I still love hearing them tell me how Great I look!
   We are excited that in November 2011 we will become grandparents!  Now I will be able to get in the floor and play with this baby since I have more energy and my Fibro,,,,,,( what FIBRO) doesn't show its nasty face anymore.   I pray every day that I never go back to my old habits and wish everyone who is over weight could have what I had done. Only regret is I wish I had done it 10 yrs. ago. But everyday is a good day and I look foward to just the simple things in life now. I hope I grow old gracefully and people still call me SKINNY.

Hey gang,
  Sorry I haven't written or kept up with the group. Lot on my plate so to speak.  I am doing GREAT!  My surgery was August 31, 2010. My weight was 244 and as of today I weigh 158lbs.!!!!!!!!
 I haven't had any problems and I'm just so proud of myself!  I bought my first new pair of jeans yesterday, size 14!     yea,,,,,,,
I have been getting most my clothes from Goodwill since my Husband lost his job in October. I took all my clothes to a consignment shop!  Husband bought me a dress for Christmas and its a size 12!
 I am trying to learn to accept complements from people! 
 Greatest surgery I ever had and wouldn't change one thing.
   Go back to Dr. this month for blood work, etc.
 Would love to post pictures if I knew how, lol

Hey gang,
  As of this morning I have lost almost 60 lbs since my journey started.
It hasn't been as hard as I though either!
Hope to change my picture when I learn how, lol
  Taking my big girl clothes to consignment store next week to see if I can make some money. Its crazy to go buy clothes and wear them a week and they are too big. I have 3 closets full of clothes now that I can't wear and never will again. Most still have the tags on them too.
Think I will shop at our Goodwill stores for clothes as I continue to lose.

Hey gang,
   I am Sherry from South Carolina.  I am in the procress of finding out all I can about the surgerious, etc. I have met with a Dr. in Charlotte NC and very pleased with him.
I need all the advice, the good, bad, ugly of having this done.
I love to Eat , am I too old for this surgery.
 I am wasting my life away staying at home on the couch 24/7 and this is not WHO  I want to be any longer. I want to live life to the fullest and Feel good about myself for once. I am a caregiver and now I want to care fo ME!

Hey gang,
   Its Sept. 14 , 3 weeks today since my surgery. I am doing really good, praise the Lord.  Had a few rough days in the hospital but got through them. After coming home my husband was so good,,,,,,,,,he did everything while I rested and slept.
 Its still hard not to do everything as far as house work but still can't do too much.
Drs. fixed my reflux and removed my Hernia, then Gastric Bypass!
  I am losing weight and I can even tell it,,,specially in my FACE!  Looking foward to everyday and the changes in my inside and out.
