1 Month Post-Op
Mar 05, 2007
3-6-07 Well, I made it one month! I saw the Doc yesterday and he said I am doing great. He FINALLY gave me some real food to intorduce very slowly. (fish, eggs, cheese, refried beans, baked beans, and some veggies and fruit) Wahoo. I had my first meal last night after 6 weeks and 3 days of liquid only. I had a tablespoon of refried beans. Yum!! This morning I had a tablespoon of cottage cheese! I am to eat 5 small meals like this during the day and drink 1 to 2 protein shakes each day.
I am still disappointed in the weight loss, but the Doc said I was fine and the weight would start falling off now when I start on real food. I am READY!!!!

3 Weeks Post-Op
Feb 23, 2007
2-23-07 Well, I made it three weeks post-op and am still on the liquid diet (3 cans of boost and 64 ounces of water). I have been feeling great and have had no real complaints - until yesterday - just a small one. I woke up feeling nausea and had it all day. Then at 6:30 pm I was drinking my 3rd boost for the day and suddenly I had a pain somewhere inside and then felt the urge to throw up. I don't know if I drank too fast? Then I had a BM and felt much better.
I am really trying to get more water in. I am drinking about 36 to 40 ounces a day and Doc wants 64 ounces. That's my goal for the week.
I feel like I am not losing enough weight.......I have been really trying not to get on the scale every day, but it's hard to stay away. I am trying to be more active too, but it is sooo cold outside here in Minnesota that it is hard.
I want to thank all the "friends" I have recently added and I look forward to getting to know you all better! Shelley

2 Weeks Post Op!!!
Feb 16, 2007
2-16-07 Woohoo! I am two weeks post op and feel great! No problems what-so-ever! I had laparoscopic RNY gastric bypass on Feb 2 2007 with Doc Glass in St. Cloud, Minnesota. No regrets at all!
