I went to the DR. yesterday, I have lost 17 pounds in 2 weeks. Good start! Now to take off the other 113, lol. I am having a horendous pain in my left side, feels like a knife stabbing me when I turn a certin way,, or stand up to straight. The dr. said about 70% of his patients get that, he doesnt know what from, that incision site (lap procedure) is the least used, but for some reason his patients get it, and it does go away. Any one else here get that? I am on soft foods, the diet said full liquids for 6 weeks--but why? I was taking in more calories with full liquids than solids. I told my dr. I was eating things like chicken, cottage cheese, eggs, soft foods, and he said that was fine. I am tolerating them well, in fact, yesterday I had a carnation instant breakfast, and I dumped with that--that was not pleasent at all, I felt so sick for about an hour, had a bout with diarrhea, then it was over. Which also brings me to the diarrhea--I ahve had it since surgery (well, actually before surgery, but I think I was nervous) and not to be gross, but it is yellow. I go about 1-2 x per day. Is this normal with others? The Dr. said it is just my intestines adjusting to the by passed part. we will see. I am finally getting my energy back, not 100% yet, but better. Sheesh, you would think after 2 weeks I would be running around the block, but I tire easily, and just dont have much energy--I must be a slow healer. Well, that's it for my update, hugs and prayers to all the pre and new post ops!

Michelle, so sorry to hear you are not getting good nursing care. Maybe home will be the best for you! Are they giving you anti-nausea meds? Ask for them if they aren't. I pray you get on the road to recovery at home!

*ANGEL REPORT*....Michelle is going home today! She has had enough of the hospital and lack of care from the nurses there. She is very nauseated and still hasn't been able to eat anything. She's had a few popsicles, but even those don't stay down. She could really use some {{{HUGS}}} and prayers. Hang in there Michelle. {{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}} Donna
