I dont know when I stopped playing by the rules. I think it was about 4-5 months post op. Once I realized I could eat anything really ... I cried when I ate an entire cheeseburger from MCDonalds. How could I do that?! Why did I have a $45,000 surgery? WHY WHY WHY am I letting myself ruin my one chance?! I cant explain it except that its in my head, its related to my addiction to food. I am starting to understand why we have the physc eval first. But I wasn't honest in mine, I didn't want to say anything that would cause him to deny me. So the issues weren't dealt with and I am 9 months out and have lost 65 lbs. Thats it. I am so ashamed.

But today I am recommitting to myself. I am going to succeed. Its NOT too late for me.

I am eating poorly, too much, bad things, trying to act like I did preop. Whats wrong with me?! Why cant I STOP!?!?!

Shellys Swiss Mocha Protein Shake

6oz skim milk (80 cal, 8 gr protein)
6 ice cubes
1 scoop Bariatric Fusion Chocolate Mousse protein powder (135 cal, 27 gr protein)
4 tsp suisse mocha sugar free decaf beverage mix (30 cal)
top with fat free whipped topping (5 cal)

So yesterday was week one for me! In the 7 days since my sleeve, I have lost 14 lbs! I really hadn't noticed a difference in my body until I started thinking about it. When I first came home, I had to lift a little skin off of one of my incisions to clean it. LoL I hadn't even noticed that that skin is no longer there. You can see the incision plain as day without having to lift anything. Pretty cool.

I am going to my surgeons office here in a few minutes to have my staples removed. I also want to ask him about this pain Im having in my stomach. Its not an incision site but its an internal pain that hurts like hell if I do certain things. Im kinda worried I might have a hernia or have pulled a staple. I'll keep you updated!
