Finally....I'm updating my profile!!!!
Jul 09, 2007
I've signed up for a co-ed softball league that starts in August and I will also be joining a kick boxing class this fall. My form of exercise now is still walking/jjogging on the treadmill and lots of tubing and swimming at the lake. I'm also looking forward to snow skiing next year...to be honest...there are so many things that I'm looking forward to doing. All of my friends and family have been so supportive and inspirational and I can not say enough about my husband! The support, understanding, thoughtfulness, and uncondional love has only made me fall in love with him again. We just celebrated our 16 wedding anniv and we have been together for 21years and I'm looking forward to creating many more memories together..with LOTS of pictures. I've hidden from the cameras or had everyone else stand or sit in front of me..not anymore...I'm proud of my accomplishment and strive to want and do more!
PS. I've added some new pics but most of them are at the lake and in a bathing suit (trying to get comfortable with that issue..but I'm more confident each month)
It's been too long...

I've noticed that it's harder to get all my protein and vits in during the day but I'm trying to make up for it in the evenings. About two weeks ago, I started working out daily on my treadmill and I'm doing 3 miles a day. I go back for my 3 mo check up on March 8th and I'm hoping to be down to 60lbs. I want to lose another 43 by the end of May and that will be the 100lb mark! I can't believe how fast everything is going and I'm able to eat pretty much anything...just SMALL portions. I was getting sick all the time but I think that was because I was eating too fast and too big of bites. When I go back to see Dr. Barker, I want to see if I can start eating broc and salads and if I can start using weights. I also really want to start back in this kick boxing class so I hope I get the clearance!
I had a friend that told me the first three months are tough and I have to admit it was alot harder than I thought BUT now I can truely say that I'm very glad that I still did the surgery and the pain/suffering is really starting to pay off. Everyone that I run into are amazed of how much I have changed in appearance. I'm hoping to update my pictures soon & I promise to update my profile more often.
Needing more protein
Jan 09, 2007
Jan 9th~ Well I only have a few more days before I go back to work and I'm alittle worried what I'm going to eat when I go back. I'm still having problems keeping food down but not as bad as last week. I need some suggestions on what to eat for protein as sometimes I can do meat but not always. I feel like I get too much carbs in and I want to change that...I'm still drinking my protein shakes and eating oatmeal.
I got on the scales this morning and I'm down to 253 (43lbs down). It feels good to be able to move into some of my other clothes. It's amazing to see how much my nails have grown...I never use to be able to grow them out but I guess the vit and protein shakes are helping.
I guess I better go as it's time for me to drink something. I will try to update again before I go back to work.
Scales finally moved again! :-)

I've also been on a holding pattern on losing weight for the last two weeks but FINALLY the scales moved. I've lost another 4lbs so I'm at a total of 36lbs. I know that I've lost alot of inches too and I've been reading where you might go several weeks before losing anything and then it will be a few lbs so I'm trying to be patient. Joey has to oil/grease(the belt) my treadmill and then I'm going to start working out on it as I haven't been doing my walks as much.
Well I better go, I've been doing alot of projects around the house and since I don't have alot of energy, it takes awhile!! I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Happy New Year!!!!
On a holding pattern...

Next week I get to start having "regular food" not just mushy food. I'm looking forward to that. Although eating and drinking have become more painful. I don't enjoy eating or drinking as it hurts going down. I even have to take baby sips of water..I've heard this happens so I'm just waiting for it to get better. Overall, I'm still glad that I had the surgery and I'm thankful for how far I've come...I'm just ready to move ahead! :-)
Happy Holidays Everyone!
Up and Going...

Best of luck and lots of love to everyone out there!
Getting stronger...
Dec 06, 2006
Dec 7th~ I did good yesterday not taking any pain medicine but I broke down last night..mainly because my back was hurting from laying on it so much. I got up in the middle of the night and walked around the house for about 10 min. I'm still sore this morning but again it's my back. I was able to get out of my bed without any assistance - yeah :-). I'm getting ready to have a protein shake and sit in the recliner...that is pretty comfortable for me. Today my husband has to have surgery on his pinky finger...they told him he would have pins. He is not looking forward to it so I guess we both will be keeping each other company for a few days. He will have to wear a cast for 6 wks...the same time that I'm out for work. I feel so bad for him...he has done an AWESOME job of taking care of me. No matter what time it is, he is ALWAYS there and willing to help! I can't thank him enough!
I made it.....

Thank you SO MUCH for everyone checking up on me...my husband was loving the fact that he had all these women calling his phone. HA My surgery was good...it took alittle longer and Joey was worried. I guess my heart rate got alittle low and they were concerned. The night was not fun at all. I was running a fever, heart rate low and my blood pressure was high. The nurses stuck me about 10 times with needles...either medicine in my stomach or redoing my IV. I got to come home last night and I was happy to be here. Last night I did good and most of today. I even went on a 10 min walk and took a shower. I laid down for a nap and I'm extremely sore now..I haven't had any pain medicine but I'm going to take some after I drink my protein shake. Joey went to the store and got some sugar free ice cream to add with the protein. YUM it's so good. I'm having head hungry but I think this protein/ice cream mixture might help it!
I just wanted to thank everyone again for being so supportive...wow you just don't know how much it helps to know you have support out there! I can't thank you enough! God Bless you!
Take care for now and I will try to update you later...
The day has arrived to my new journey

Thank you to ALL my family and friends for ALL your support. You are the best and I love you very much. Watch out 2007, there is a new me coming in town!!!! :-)
Love always,

Running out of time to get everything done
Nov 30, 2006
I'm getting real excited but stressing out trying to get everything accomplished. My husband and friends keep telling me not to worry everything will fall in place but I think I seem to strive for stress. :-) I'm also worried about the surgery as this will be my first surgery. I know everything will go ok but it's so scary. Even though I'm worried, I'm more excited about seeing the weight come off...I'm ready to see a new me in the mirror. Hopefully no more double chins...Yippee!!!
