Hello everyone,
I am 39 yrs old and have been stuggling with weight a good part of my life. I have 2 boys. I was gestational diabetic with the first one just over 9 years ago and became diabetic 2 years after. I was on insulin with my second boy and after he was born was on Metformin. Just over a year ago I decided to look into have gastric bypass surgery done. In March 2010 I started the process at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton, ON. I had my surgery done on July 7, 2010. Was the best decision of my life. I am hoping for a long and healthy life for me and my 2 boys. I am no longer on Metformin for my diabetes and feels real nice.
