My story begins much like many others on here. I have always had trouble with my weight and could never seem to find a sweet spot.I used food both as a reward and as an outlet for anger. When i was younger I wanted to become a state trooper,but my bmi was way off. So for 3months I ate one can of tuna one dry baked potato and 3 crackers at every meal. I would run 2 miles a day plus what ever my post c.o. would say i had to do for p.t. After getting my rear end ripped one night,for something I wasn't involved with I told him to keep his job and place it where the sun doesn't shine. Drove to the nearest fast food spot and ordered up. Years later I met the woman of my dreams, she loved me for me and nothing else. Some years pass and she wanted to have WLS I was behind her all the way, Not because I wanted a skinny wife I wanted her to be happy. Then i noticed I couldn't keep up with her walking around any more. I wanted to do something as well.
I began to look at the lap ban. I found a great Dr. who was straight with me and was to the point ( I liked that).He answered all my questions and really put me at ease. Now 6 days post op I can already feel better about myself,and my future. I want to get back to the weight i was feeling my best at, not what someone else says I should be. with my Dr. and my lovely wife and kids I know I can make it.
