"I first went to see Dr. Davis in 2008. He was really nice. He and his son work together. I lost my job and recently picked up another insurance this year. I contacted Dr. Davis office to pick up my preparation for the surgery. In October of this year (2009)I went to go see Dr. Davis. I don't know if he was having a bad day or what but he started telling me how he will not do the lap band because it wasn't safe and blah, blah, blah. He told me that the only surgery he would perform was the gastric so I thought the hell with this guy. This was MY body and he had no right telling me what he was going to perform on me! So I started looking around at other Dr.s. Then Dr. Davis office called me back to see what I had decided to do and I told them my experience with Dr. Davis. They asked me to come back in and talk with them. I went back and saw Dr. Davis and this time he was really, really, nice. He told me the reason he did not favor the band. We talked about other options and I decided to keep him. I chose to keep him because of his competence level. He is the Dr. off of big medicine. He and his son has numerous books and articles. I told him I wanted the sleeve, he sat down and discussed all of my options and I was pleased with MY decision"
