I am 42 years old, and have a new life post VSG. I am an International Flight Medic and paramedic instructor based in South Florida, married to my best friend and inspiration Anna Smith, who will also be having the VSG in a few days. 3o days post-op I have lost 40 pounds, 20 of which in the first 10 days after surgery. I am no longer diabetic. My sleep apnea is gone. The lumbar pain that plagued me for years after a work injury in '07 is gone. I wake up with real energy. And I embarking upon new challenges, after so many years at 330+.
