Hello! I am not big on blogging my everyday things however I will give it a try! As far as I can remember I have been over weight. Always being the biggest one in the class. Not only with my weight, but I was also very tall for my age. I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism back in grade school & they never can seem to get my dosages right. I have tried MANY different diets from the cabbage soup, Weight Watchers, Atkins, TONS of different diets pills, etc & I lost NOTHING!

So for the last about 3 years or so I have been researching & going to different seminars in my area trying to get educated as much as possible. Up until 6 months ago I was researching gastric bypass. I have met with a couple doctors to start the whole process of getting this done. The first doctor I met was about 2 & a half years ago at UIC. After myself & my mom met with the Dr for about a half hour he basically told me that I would eat myself back fat. WOW, huh? SO then I got discouraged & didn't bother trying to find another doctor for about 1 year or so. So finally my primary care doctor told me about another doctor from UIC. My gut feeling told me that I shouldn't go back there. What if it was the same doctor as before who told me I would eat myself back fat again? I couldn't remember his name. So after so thinking about it I figured what the hell.. I am older & much stronger now. So if it was the same doctor I felt I could deal with the let down AGAIN. So I went......... luckily it was NOT the same doctor however he was just as much of an asshole. His office would NEVER return my phone calls, NOTHING. In the meantime I switched jobs therefore getting different insurance. So once I got established at my new job I checked into the surgery again. I came across a WONDERFUL doctor named Dr. Rosen!  Dr Rosen & his staff are AMAZING. Always on top of things. Offering different kinds of classes. You have the physical fitness guy, the dietitian & a phycho therapist offering support group meetings there at the office. I started seeing Dr Rosen almost 6 months ago. I walked into Dr. Rosen's office weighing 384lbs. Since then I have gained so much knowledge of how I am suppose to be eating & most of all exercising. In 6 months I have lost 27lbs. I still don't see it nor do I feel it in my clothes.   I'm sure I'll start feeling it soon though. OH & I quit smoking 34 days ago!!!!!!!!!!   I am a month & 6 days away from surgery (Nov 3, 2008). I am EXCITED, but most of all NERVOUS I know I will do fine though. I have the GREATEST support team one can ask for. My #1 support system is God. I turn to him for EVERYTHING! Then I can't forget about my family/friends. They deal with my shit on a everyday basis. I don't know how I would do all this without them.. They are a true blessing!

Well not much else to write right now other than I am working my ass off working 2 jobs, 16 hour days trying to get a little money in my pocket just in case something were to happen. I have been a sexxibbw my whole life........ I am 29yo & its about time for my life to "begin".  2008 is MY year! Time to "make" something of me!!!

I can use all the support/advice I can get from anyone! I wish you ALL the best of luck in your journey. Always keep your head up... Do the best you can!

Take care,
Jill
