3 month update!
Sep 16, 2008
Wow, can't bellieve it's been a little over three months since I had surgery. September 12th was my three month mark. A little late in posting this. I can't believe I am down 70lbs! I'm really happy about that, though I am having abit of trouble getting all my protein in.
My partner was getting worried about that, so he went and got me some protein shake mix and we are going to try to incorporate it into some recipes. More later!

A little over a week post op

Wow, can't believe it's been a little over a week since I've had surgery. I'm doing well, though still trying to take it all in.
I'm almost twenty pounds down (4 pounds pre-op and 14 pounds post op) so I'm pleased with that. Really trying hard to stick to the instructions. Feel I'm doing better than some, worse than others. So far everything I've tried : Mashed potatoes, hummus, egg, cheese, have all gone smoothly.
My bf Charles and I went to Terri Lynn's party on Saturday and it was such a relief to get out and be social with such a supportive group. OH and the Ottawa support group are truly becoming my salvation. This is especially true since of three of my oldest friends who live locally, 2 haven't spoken to me since I told them I was getting surgery. The third claims she will support me, though she doesn't support the surgery and thinks I should do it "the other way", as though I've somehow taken the easy way out. Oh well.
