In late 2000, I was diagnosed with genetic obesity. I was 300lbs and only 5ft tall. With onset diabeties, High blood pressure, sleep apnea, and Fibro myalgea. All this and I wasn't even 30yrs old yet. I thought for years I had done this to myself. And to find out that it was a genetic problem. Really thru me for a loop. I suffered deep depprestion thru this process as well. In the mean time I did a lot of research on the Bi-Pass. I found that this was the only way I could save my life. Other wise I would die a "Morbid Obese Young Woman". I knew my children would grow up without a mother. That was "NOT OK" with me. I knew I wanted to see my children grow and hope to see my Grandchildren some day as well. So in to surgery I went. It was a long painful process, But let me tell you. It's been completely worth it. I've gone from 300lbs to 160lbs. 140lbs are gone. I was carrying around one more person, or two young people! How ever you want to see it. I have no more health problems, that I once had. And let me say to you, One of the very first things I noticed when the weight started to come off was. "OH MY GOD" I can fit in a chair with arms on it! Next was "OH MY GOD" I... I.. Can bend over and tie my shoes and still breathe! What... No Way! This is a complete MIRACLE!
