I can't believe my surgery date is almost finally here. I have waited so long for this. I have not always been overweight. It started in college and never went down after my second daughter. My weight continued to climb through a bad marriage, divorce, nursing school (all at the same time). I have a wonderful husband now. We have been married almost 13 years (longer than the first marriage). He loves me how I am and is afraid for me. But I want the energy back and want to be able to enjoy all the things we love to do. We camp, hike, travel, antique shop, visit any historical museum, Girl Scout's, church youth activities, etc. I do it all now, but not like it sholud be. I am ready!!!! I had a date of Jan. 30, 2007, but my Mom passed awy the night of Jan. 28, so on Monday I called Dr. Lord and cancelled. I can't believe I was still in my liquid phase through all of that. Talk about stressful. So now I feel only more prepared then before, and am counting the days and letting my imagination run wild. I look forward to being part of the "losing" team. It will be a great team to be on.
