"I was truly impressed with this office before I even met them. I had not received info on my approval(from the insurance) for surgery consultation and his office CALLED ME and told me they received an approval and wanted to schedule me for the consultation. I received a package in the mail from the office within 3-4 days and it had numerous amounts of information about the surgery, support groups and WEB info (including this website). My first visit was on 11/17/03. I walked into the office and was happily greeted with "You must be Virginia". It was nice NOT to be told 'sign in and have a seat'. While in the waiting area, there was a good selection of material to read. But to add the office's own special touch, they had cinnamon and peppermint candy in little dishes beside the magazines. Tammy (Dr. V's nurse) was very nice as she took my personal info (weight, height etc.). Dr. Valentine was very thorough with his information as well as other Weight Loss surgeries (even though he didnt perform them). He talked to me as if I was the only person he had to see that day. I spent atleast an hour talking to him about all the areas of this procedure. He was very nice and attentive to my ???'s and talked over ALL of my concerns. Overall, Dr. Valentine and his staff get an A. the only negative thing I have to say about him is "he is too skinny" lol."
