I haven't posted in a long time, but I am still hang in here.  I have been busy concentrating on my retiring from my job of 29 years.  I have about 102 more pounds to lose to be at my idea weight.

I am only 111.8 pounds from my idea weigh of 138 pounds.

I am so ha-p-p-y !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


run, run quickly

This has being a very slow process for me.  I have had on 3.1 cc and there are days when I feel like there are no restrictions.  I have not found any food that my new stomach will not tolerated.  I think after about 6 ozs of food my stomach will let me know that it is full.  Since Oct. 2007 I haven't loss but 24.3 pounds, I am grateful this amount but would love for it to be a little more.  But nevertheless, I only has 114.3 pound more to be at my goal.  This is great.

Went to the surgeon today, he said everything look good and he were proud of me I had losting 14 pounds in 10 days.  He have released me to exercise with in what ever form I choose.  He place me on MIllers Bran/Unprocessed Wheat Bran to add to my food so that I can get fiber in to help me be regular.  I also had a vist with my PCP and she were proud also, she said that I will not have to come back to her for four months and we will see about removing me from my medicine.  This has been a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last 10 days has really been a struggle.  But, I can now begin to see a sliver lined.  I was sick a couple days where I thought I was not going to make it.  I was very,very faint and weak that the doctor took me from clear liquid to full liquid so that I can get more nourishment.  I am feeling great today.  Tomorrow I revisit the surgeon for my first post-op, I think that I have lost between 10-15 pounds, but we will know tomorrow for sure, and if my scale is off, so what, I will adjust and move on;  that's what this new journey and all about making changes and surviving.

I am a bandster now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  YEP!!!!
My surgery went well.   I started out a little scary because my blood pressure was 151/108, but the anesthologist said that can bring that down.  So I had my faith in God that he would see me through and He did just that and I am so grateful.   I already can see some changes, while I was in the hospital my new blood pressure ran 127/74 or 124/75  this is great.  I have to see my PCP to see if she want to adjust the medicines or take me off.  I had to stay over night in the hospitla because I have sleep apnea and I didn't get release until 7:15pm because the doctor had 2 emergency (life threaten) surgery.  But nevertheless I am at home.  I hope that I don't have much pain tonight because the drug store was close when I came home.  But right now I am feeling fine.  I go back to the doctor in 7-10 days.  They took very good care of me at Shelby Baptist Medical Hospital.  They kept me with water, broth, apple juices, grape juices, cystal light, tea, coffee.   I have a little gas, it is not even enough to complaint about, everynow and then it pop up (or should I say pop out).  I not going to wear my self out the first night at home, but I will post some more later.   Thanks to everyone for their prayers.

I want to thank God for his Grace and Mercy and all His beneficence.  I also want to thank Him in advance for whatever He is about to do with me as I take this weight loss journey.  

Today, 10-04-07 is my pre-op tests.  I have gained 2.5 lbs since the first time going to the surgeon.  I am so glad my surgery is with 5 days because I can afford to put anymore weight on these legs.  All my test turn out fine.   The nurse advise me not to take any type of aspirin product.  On day of my surgery I will receive a short in my thigh or stomach which is ant-clot med to keep blood clot from set up.   She also told me that immediately after the surgery when they have take me to my room make sure that I get up and walk not matter how much pain and ache that I am feeling, I need to get up and move to keep the gas that in your stomach moving so it will leave the body.  I probably won't post again until after the surgery.  So keep me your prayers and the next time ya'll hear from me I will be a bandster.

Tomorrow Oct. 4 is my day for all my pre-op tests.  I know that I will feel like I've been search from head to toe.  After tomorrow only 8 days till my surgery.  I will post again the night before the surgery.  Keep me in your prayers.
