I have been over weight all my life. I can remember in elementary school getting teased for being the fat kids and in Jr high It got worse. When everyone else was dating, I was taking a back seat my teen years. I was a home body for sure. When I was 16 my mom took me to special doctor to get the "diet pill" I lost alot of weight with them and realized just how bad they were for me. I got off the meds and as I grew in to my teens and twenties I realized that drugs and alcohol could take the place of food and I wouldnt have to worry about it.
When I had my daughter, at age 21 I kicked all my habits of smoking, drugs and alcohol and I used no resources to do so. However, I now realize I replaced my addictions to those things with my addiction to food. I just kept getting bigger and bigger. In 07 I decided I had to do something atleast do it for my girls and I hired a nutricianist and a trainer. I lost 40lbs in 6 months and then plateaued. When neither of my hired help could figure out what to do I fired them and 1 year later I was back at my starting weight. I had looked in to gastric bypass before and was really contemplating that option and in 08 I decieded that it was something I had to do. I had the sleeve done March 17th 2009 and although I really miss food now, I am already on my way to a better healthier life and I am so ready!
