Hello
Jul 05, 2009
This has been an overwhelming 3 weeks, but there is always a pot of gold after every rainy day. I am so proud of my weight loss and progress. I am now running for 2 minutes on the treadmill and walk 5 minutes; run 2 and walk 5. This is such a success for me. All of my clothes are falling off. I started this journey at 326 and I am not 272 and it has been 7 weeks. God is GOOD. I was struggling with my water and protein(and still struggling with protein) but I know it will get better. I am doing good with all my vitamins. I went for my six week check up and had plenty of questions for the doctor. I am still only eating about 1 oz per setting. He said I should be eating at least 2 oz and very soon 4 oz. But it was not a big concern for him. So I am pushing forward right now. I started at a 28 size and now I am in some 22. That is just the best news. My husband is still on missions in Iraq and my son started driving school this past week(16 yr olds really scare me). But I am keeping things going here on the home front. Pray for me and I will continue to pray for each and every one of you. Blessings and Love to you all.

Minor Setback
Jun 05, 2009
I am sorry I have not posted since surgery. I was on a good roll until Monday 1 June and had to be hopitalized. They thought I had a pulmonary embilism from the RNY. Thank GOD it wasn't. I was dehydrated and could not breathe. My pulse was 158 and my blood pressure had dropped really low. When I tell you I think I have the BEST DOCTORS in the world. I thank God for them all day and everyday. I went in for a two week check up and ended up getting admitted. I was released late Wednesday after many tests to include a CT Scan. So now I am having to go to the Doctor's Office on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for a EKG and tests until they figure out what is wrong me. My pulse is down somewhat now to 98 and blood pressure is slowly getting back to normal. I gained 7 pounds from the IV fluids and Potassium. I will keep you informed. Pray for me and I will be praying for you all as well as I continue on this journey.
Thanks Samantha
1 Week - 4 days Post OP
May 26, 2009
It has now been 11 days post op and I am doing very well. I still have the staples (12 to be exact) and hopefully they will be coming out on Monday (a few days past my two week mark). I have lost a total of 17 lbs and 6 of them just the past 3 days. I have not found my groove yet with food and getting in 64 oz of water, but I am drinking about 24 to 48 oz a day. I am only eating jello right now. Just the smell of broth was making me naseau. On Friday I will be going to prureed food and I hope that works out. I have not tried to do any extreme exercise only working out with my arm weights and resistance bands. So hopefully this will help in the long run. I want to thank everyone for their prayers before, during and after my surgery. It really meant alot. I wish everyone continued success, as well as myself on this new journey of life. Until next time.....

3 MORE DAYS!!!
May 12, 2009

I am so excited..... I have only 3 more days left to before surgery. I have been waiting for this for over a year. I am ready for
this change in my life. I have been struggling for a long time; and this is the change that I need and want. My husband just
deployed and I can't wait for him to see this new change in a couple of months. I am inspired every day by all MY NEW OH FRIENDS and how great they all look (and ladies you all look GREAT!
) . I look forward to making more blog entries so everyone will know my progress. Pray for me and I will continue to pray for you all.
