Personal Trainer

Apr 15, 2013

So I signed a 8 month contract and paid in full cause I know how cheap I am and figured this way I would be held a little more accountable and not want 2k go down the drain! I'm 5 weeks out today and down from 261 to 234. I've heard that revision surgery weight loss is slower than a first time RNY so I'm not going to compare myself to anyone. I'm happy with my progress and have dropped down a good few sizes and that's what matters most to me! I can do this!!!!!!!!!!

New beginings

Feb 20, 2013

So I had VGS in June of 2009. My life has changed in so many ways and I pray that I realize how lucky I am to be where I am at in life. I went through a divorce 4 years after my last surgery and have a really good relationship with my ex. I have a wonderful man in my life who has been supportive of me for the past 3 years with everything from my kids all the way to pushing me to graduate while I was 8 months pregnant and wanting to not walk the stage.

He added me onto his insurance in December and he works for General Motors, and their insurance policy with BCBS is excellent. I had my approval letter by 2 weeks after submission. My deductible is only 1k which gives me a lot more to put towards covering the time I take off.

I feel that I am being given a second chance, or third really. I saw the mistakes I made with the VGS and know what I need to do to keep from going down that path again! I started working out a couple of months ago and have gone from 290 to 264. I want to lose 15lbs more before my surgery date of March 11th. I can do this!!!! It is my fiance's 30th birthday as well as my surgery date so I know that this day will be one to remember! Please keep me and my family in your thoughts!

Almost 3 years Later!!!!!

May 14, 2012

Well almost 3 years later after my VSG and I've managed to gain a total of 40lbs back... what a loser right!!! I'm 30 now, graduated college, teaching special ed, and had another little boy. You would think that I would be happy and yet I'm still not. I have been thinking about a revision surgery now that I have insurance. I think my life has finally setteled down enough and in a good place to where I would be able to handle surgery better than before. After my last surgery it didn't take but 6 months before I was divorced. Hoping my life can finally turn around!!!!

Its been a While!!!!

Dec 29, 2009

Ok So what the heck is my problem???? I'm about 6 months out and stayed at the same weight for the past 3 months... is it cause I dont get off my lazy butt and go to the gym or could it be that I blame it all on stress.. So what if I'm going thru a divorce, lost my house, starting internship for teaching and NOT getting paid for it, oh and in debt for the surgery that I paid 12k to lose 50lbs for... just kidding just kidding!

I'm just bitter right now! I know its me.. Ineed to get off my butt and get with the program.. I think I already ruined my surgery by being able to eat EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING that I want and maybe about half the portiions size that I could eat before.. this whole divorce thing brings out the binge eating and stress eating again which sucks!!!! HELP ME!!!! I need a big kick in the butt!!!

6 days post op!!!!

Jun 14, 2009

K well I'm 6 days post op and I actually dont feel as bad as I thought i would... Luckily I haven't had any gas pain at all.. Everyone kind of scared me with that... but I haven't really had a problem at all. I'm down about 26 pounds now and I'm sooo excited about that! It feels great to know that its actually gonna come off. I've been walking as muchas possible but having these stupid drains in makes it a little difficult. I go in on Wednesday to have them taken out and then I'll start my real walking. I've been having a little pain today but I think itsbecuaes the numbness is finally all gone. I've been trying not to take my pain meds cause i dont like to take that stuff. I've only taking it twice today so hopefully by wednesday I'll be off of it completely. Just wanted to update everyone on how I was doing. Thanks for all the comments.

Pre Op Diet

May 28, 2009

So I started my pre-op diet on Tuesday this week. I thought that it was going to be a lot harder! I can have 5 slim fast products in one day and 5oz of protien and 2 cups of veggies. Not to bad. I do really well with the shakes though. They seem to fill me up the most. I've lost 4 pounds since last tuesday and walk everyday as well. I have about 10 days left before surgery. I'll keep yall posted.

Im actually going thru with it!

May 24, 2009

So I can't wait , I feel like I'm a little school girl going to start the first day of school again! I'm starting my pre op diet on Tuesday and I can't believe how exicted I am about it! I think I already feel better about myself knowing that I'm going to be me again! I can't wait to be able to run around with my kiddos with out stopping every 5 seconds to catch a breath!

I dont think I've ever been this excited to not be able to eat the foods I LOVE! I've been seeing a dietician for the past month now and I love him ! He helps me so much on training me with the right foods that I need for me to stay strong and healthy! I can't wait for this to start! I have taken the may semester off and I'm so glad that I did. I've been able to get some things taken care of at the house that I've been meaning to do. I only have 3 weeks after surgery before my summer semester starts so I'm hoping that all will go well! Anyways.. Thank you so much for reading! It always helps having other people that know how you feel and what you are going thru to have some feed back from rather than my stick friends that think being 10 pounds over weight will kill them!!!!! LOL

June 9th 10:30am My life will start over! Wish me luck!!!!!

Setting a Date!!!!

Apr 16, 2009

Woo hoo!!! I'm going on Friday afternoon to see Dr. Nick! I am doing my consultation and we are setting a date! I got my tax return back and it is more than enough to pay for the surgery and then some! I love his staff already! They told me that he only sees consultation patients on Thursdays and of course I go to school Tuesdays and Thursdays and we are getting new information for our mid terms so I can't miss. I go to school from 7:00am till 4:45pm and then I go straight to work from 6:00pm till 2:00am. I can't really complain because I only work 2 days a week but I can't call off either! So anyways, he changed some things around and he is going to see me in between two surgeries! YEAHHHHHH. Sherry did tell me that he only does the VGS on Tuesday mornings so I have a few dates in mind! June 9th is my ideal date because I have a 3 week break from my maymester and Summer I semester. We are going to San Antonio the 2nd and will get back on the 7th so we'll see how that goes! Keep me in your thoughts please! I'm sooooo excited! I feel like it might actually happen now!

Went to the seminar!

Apr 02, 2009

On my way!!!! I went to Dr. Nicholsons seminar and I can't believe that I even thought about changing my mind about my Dr. I love him! We stayed forever talking to him about everything and finally at 9:50pm my husband made me leave:0) All my questions and then some were answered! The sleeve is the right WLS for me and my family! Its 1k less then I thought so my husband said for me to put the money up and use it on clothes as I shed the pounds off! Such a great man!! I sat down with my advisers at school and set out my schedule for my summer semester and Fall and then planned the vacation with my family so I can see what dates I will have available for surgery! It looks like I will have about 3 weeks in June with no class so I'm going to schedule it for then. It seems like that is so far away but I'm sure it will go by fast. Plus I have WAYYYYYYYY too many projects left in school for taking any type of chance of not completing this semester! Note to self: Don't take 18 hours a semester again! I'm really excited and I really appreciate the few people that I have met on here and that have been answering all my questions! Its good too know you have someone that has "been there and done that" to talk to ! Especially when all your friends are less then a buck ten and don't know what it feels like to be BIG! :0) Wish me luck cause here I go!!!
