I am almost forty years old and have been overweight ever since I was young. I was diagnosed with Hypertension in 2007 and of course I had it long before but was trying to lose weight so that I would not have to take medication. As we can see I was unsucessful. My family history is Hypertension,Glacoma,Heart Problems,Big D-diabetes, and gout. I have been researching surgery and the different options for about the last three years.I have attended about 12 seminars with 12 different Dr.'s in 12 different cities. A little obsessive in my book. I have finally decided that the right time is here. I am going through the necessary motions to have surgery. I have gone to the seminar,visited my PCP for a referral,sent in my packet and waiting on them to give me an appointment. Well we will see how long the process will take.
