"The nurses in 5D are the best. They were all kind and caring individuals. They gave lots of encouragement and were always available if I needed anything. The only thing, I didn't like about the hospital were the beds. The hospital bed was very uncomfortable. Maybe it is that way on purpose to encourage one to get up and walk the hallway. Walking is strongly encouraged after gastric bypass surgery. "

"I think Dr. Irgau and his staff are the best. At my first appointment, Dr. Irgau answered all my questions and put me at ease about having the surgery. Prior to surgery, I went through a very thorough health check up with a cardiologist, a pulmonarist,an endocrinologist and a psychologist. I attended the Life Skills class with a nutritionist from PMRI who gave me invaluable information regarding my diet and the best way to keep myself healthy after the surgery. After surgery, there is a structured aftercare program with check-ups at his office and PMRI visits with the nutritionist and psychologist. There are also local meetings at PMRI to keep everyone well informed. I would recommend Dr. Irgau to everyone. "
