My name is Rose. I am two weeks post-op. I had the laparoscopic roux en y gastric bypass. My doctor is Dr. Matthew Martin from  Central Carolina Surgery in Greensboro NC.  I am a 33 year old mother of three. Before surgery I was miserable. I tried many diets and would lose weight only to gain it back. I hated the way I looked and felt! I knew I needed to do something. I had my surgery on 2/18/13. My experience thus far has been wonderful. It has been so good I question if the doctor did the procedure correctly. All those horror stories I have heard, the complications and the pain I have not had any of that!! For me it has been easier than having my children via c-section. I went today for my two week post op check up and am down 22.6 pounds and a full pants size. I am so happy I made this choice and I look forward to my continuing progress.
