My first post op today
Dec 22, 2008
My first post op visit was pretty good....I have lost 13.5 lbs in 1 week. I'm still having difficulty getting my fluid and protein in, but take it 1 day at a time. I have a great support team in my hubby and family...Thank God for them!

Feelin' pretty goodfor having my innards rearranged, although I'm very tired. No nausea, minimal discomfort, for today at least.
I'm pretty nervous about proceeding with my meals, even though the specifics are written out for us...

21 days to go
Nov 24, 2008
I'm wrestling with everything I need to do to prepare for my surgery and with getting my head straight for the next 3 weeks to go into this thing running. I've learned that the food I think I'll miss isn't that great, it's mostly easy. It takes effort to plan meals, snacks and beverages. I've always been a path of least resistance girl and I just have to figure out how to smooth my way. I'm hoping to learn a lot from folks' experience here to help secure my success.
I'm reading Susan Maria Leach's book Before and After, Living and Eating Well after Weight Loss Surgery and its helpful to know the end result will be my goals if I keep focused and remind myself that I'm not depriving myself.....but, actually giving myself a gift.
