Today was my first day back at the office. I was miserable, my chair sits straight up and my keyboard was across the desk. I had pains all day sitting there and had to get up and walk around for relief. The injection port is offcentered between my ribs and bellybutton. It pinched or poked the whole time I was sitting. Is this normal? I am sure I will get used to it but how long?

Tonight I ate my first food since?? I had 2 scrambled eggs and had no problems with them! Am I ready for a steak? I would have thought I would feel something but I ate slowly and chewed and chewed. I have no sensation of being hungry or full. I want a bell to ring when I have had enough!! That way I wont overeat!! I guess it is in there or I lost a pigstickin, knife fight,  for some southernly challenged people that may read this and not understand. LOL. Something must be workin I am losing weight!! 278lbs this morning and still dropping.

I had planned on returning to work today but after a trip to Walmart, I realized that I was weak. I ended up driving around in the scooter. My daughter had a blast with that. We beeped the horn and pestered my wife with it. Had a  good time just getting out of the house. Only pain I am having is where the injection port is located. Well, still having gas pains but it is much better, should be a warning that it may feel like a heart attack from all the pressure!!! I weighed in at 282 this morning and wonder how long am I going to lose like this? My face is really showing loss since I can now see my ears and lobes, Nice! Renee says she can see it in my stomach since it's not sticking out below my ribs like a shelf. Thats where I used to prop my laptop. Just have to get a pillow now but I can suffer thru it, I guess.

Excellent surgeon and good bedside manners. He is very knowledgable and concerned. I had a 9:30 surgery scheduled and he came in and started the surgery at 8:00. The pain is much less than I expected but it is there. I have lots of pressure from the gas he inflated me with but not what I expected. Surgery was performed as an outpatient and I was home by noon. Baptist Hospital in Oxford,MS is an excellent facility and the staff is great. Room was spacious and clean and surgery ward was very high-tech looking. If you are trying to get approval, text me and I will give you contact information of the insurance lady. She had my approval in 2 weeks and I didn't have to do any legwork chasing history or anything!! This is first class facility and even gave my wife a lunch voucher so she wouldn't spend her money!!

Not a major goal but and accomplishment. It may be minor to some people but looking like a white shrek was not on my things to do list. Anyway, I was looking in the mirror and noticed that I have an ear on each side of my head at the same time!! I thought for the longest that I had one that moved from side to side as I turned my head, but no, now I can see two of those boogers on my head!! Somewhere in that 27lbs were cheek fat that was obscuring my vision. I am stoked and ready for surgery so I can see what else is hiding on this bod of mine. Two more days of torture and the fun begins, surgery, if it can be called fun. Just thought y'all may be interested in my discovery and maybe you will find something you lost along the way and let us know too. Happy to be hear!!

Enjoying my decaf coffee and thinking about surgery. Had a spoon full of marinara without breadsticks last night. It was liquid. haha. My weight is dropping steadily, down to 288 this AM. At this rate I may not still qualify for surgery, my BMI is getting lower!! The clear liquid diet is going to be tough. I can run grab a protien drink and feel so much better and Monday nothing filling. Think I will probably drown myself with flavored water.
Thats me drowning. LOL

Second day of my protien shakes and water. I am very hungry after sitting at a softball game with them cooking burgers and hotdogs, it smelled so good and the water was not filling. Did not give in and get one and made it home to my drink. Better but really tiring of the sweet drinks and nothing to crunch on. I will make it !!
